Senate District 41 Convention
Shortly all delegates and alternates elected at the 2004 precinct caucus will receive an official “Call” or invitation to the 2005 Senate District 41 Convention to be held on March 5th at the Edina Community Center. The official purpose of the Convention is to elect Senate District 41 Officers and State Central Committee delegates and alternates who will serve for the next two years. The Convention will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. with the doors opening at 8:15 for registration. Morning refreshments will also be served so it is a good time to converse and socialize with your Republican neighbors before the Convention convenes. The cost of the Convention is $8 for pre-payment and $10 at the door (see the registration form for early registration deadline).
We can expect to hear from many of our elected officials and State Party leaders visiting us at the Convention. This is also the time that we honor the Senate District volunteers who have contributed so much of their time and efforts to make this Senate District the most outstanding district in the state.
If you are interested in being a delegate or alternate to the State Central Committee you need to contact Ric Davies (952-944-0614), Chair of the Nominating Committee. Also, any candidate seeking a position on the Executive Committee must appear before the Nominating Committee in order to have your name considered for nomination at the Convention.
