About Senate District 41 & Caucus Information
Senate District 41 is made up of Edina and West Bloomington. We have a Republican Senator, Geoff Michel, plus two Republican Representatives, Ron Erhardt (41A) and Neil Peterson (41B).
There is much that distinguishes Senate District 41. SD 41 annually participates in the Edina Fourth of July Parade with a large contingent. There is a lunch following the parade with veterans as our honored guests.
SD 41 holds monthly Full Committee Meetings open to the public with dinner and an outstanding speaker. Recent speakers have included Senator Norm Coleman, Governor Tim Pawlenty, Gen. Dennis Schulstad (ret), Education Commissioner Alice Seagren, Republican State Party Chair Ron Carey, Rep, Marty Seifert, House Minority Leader, Deb Pierce FBI Special Agent in Charge, and KSTP anchor Cyndy Brucato. The Full Committee Meetings are held at Calvary Lutheran Church, 6817 Antrim Road in Edina with dinner at 6:00 pm, a meeting at 7:00 pm, and the speaker at 7:30 pm
SD 41 has a monthly newsletter “The Voice” which is sent to over 1500 Republicans including all delegates and alternates and contributors. It can also be accessed on-line through this website
SD 41 has a working partnership with the University of St. Thomas College Republicans. We do joint activities with St. Thomas and one of their representatives attends the SD 41 Executive Committee meetings. St. Thomas has one of the largest College Republican Club in the state.
