Department of Education, Commissioner Alice Seagren will be the Feb. 22nd Full Committee Dinner Guest Speaker
Commissioner Alice Seagren will be the guest speaker at the Full Committee Meeting dinner on February 22nd, at Calvary Lutheran Church located at 6817 Antrim Road in Edina. Alice Seagren, was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Marketing from Southeast Missouri State University. She and her husband, Fred, live in Bloomington, Minnesota. They have two children and three grandchildren as of January 29th! Commissioner Seagren’s former legislative responsibilities were K-12 Education Finance Committee Chair, Education Policy Committee, Ways & Means Committee, Transportation Policy Committee, Minnesota Legislative Permanent School Fund Advisory Committee, and
Legislative Commission on planning and Fiscal Policy. With her years in the state legislature, Commissioner Seagren will provide a political and personal perspective of state politics and public education policy.
As always, your questions and ideas are welcomed and encouraged. The evening social hour and dinner starts at 6 PM with a $7 donation for adults, $4 for students. SD 41 business will begin at 7 PM with Commissioner Seagren introduced at 7:30 PM. The event is open to the public.
