Sen. Michel Elected Assistant Minority Leader
State Sen. Geoff Michel was elected assistant minority leader by his colleagues Friday, November 10, as the Republican caucus met to put its leadership in place for the next session.. Michel was re-elected to his second term Nov. 7 and this is his second appointment to Senate leadership.
As assistant minority leader, Geoff will serve as an advisor to the caucus leader, Sen. Dave Senjem, and oversee all aspects of caucus operations, from personnel management to political strategy.
Michel currently serves on the Senate Commerce and Education Committees and on the K-12 Education and State Government Budget Divisions.
