Neil Peterson Wins Primary in HD41B
Results from the primary election held Tuesday, September 14th, handed Neil Peterson an overwhelming victory among Republican voters and voters as a whole. Neil received 83% of the votes cast, while the remainder was split among the other three candidates on the ballot. Following last month’s endorsement convention, all three of the other candidates suspended their campaigns after Peterson received the nod.
With this win, Neil Peterson proceeds to the general election in November as the sole Republican candidate on the ballot for 41B. He will be facing the DFL and Independence Party’s candidates.
In other races, Randy Johnson secured 74% of the vote in his race to move forward to the November election. Rep. Jim Ramstad overwhelmed his opponent in the 3rd Congressional District race by receiving 90% of the votes cast. In the Judicial race for our District 4, the two top vote getters move ahead to the ballot in November. Out of eight contestants, Susan Burke secured a place on the ballot with 33% and Stephan Baker received 16% of the vote.
