Minority Leader Marty Seifert to Speak at Sept. 25th Full Committee Dinner
State Rep. Marty Seifert (R-21A) will be the guest speaker at the next Senate District 41 Republican Dinner Forum on September 25th at Calvary Lutheran Church, located at 6817 Antrim Road in Edina.
Republican Minority Leader Rep. Seifert will share with us the latest news from the Special Session held on September 11 regarding the much needed flood relief plan for parts of Minnesota. Hopefully, he will also share with us the plans for the I-35W Bridge and the necessity for bridge repair in Minnesota.
Rep. Seifert was first elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 1996 and is in his 6th term of office. He has a BA in Political Science, Southwest State University and is currently on the Finance Committee in the House. Amongst the priorities of Rep. Seifert are providing permanent tax relief, cutting government waste, and promoting quality education. Some of his many accomplishments are: State agency rules reform, disallowing sex offenders from serving on school boards, “Legislator of the Year” Minnesota State University Student Association, and “Legislator of Distinction” Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cites.
The evening social hour and dinner begin at 6 PM with an $8 dinner donation for adults and $4 for students. District announcements will be made at 7 PM with Rep. Seifert introduced at 7:30 PM. As usual your questions and ideas are welcome.
