“Senator Geoff Michel Earns Guardian of
Small Business Award”
St. Paul – The state’s largest small-business group, the National Federation of Independent Business, with over 17,000 members statewide, is pleased to announce that Sen. Geoff Michel of Edina has earned the “Guardian of Small Business Award” for the 2003-2004 biennium. “Sen. Michel is a good friend of ours and a real supporter of small-business at the capitol,” said Mike Hickey, State Director for NFIB/MN.
As a member of the Commerce Committee, Sen. Michel understands the vital role small businesses play in our state’s economy and realizes how many jobs are created by small business each year. He has made many votes in support of small business including voting for significant tort reform legislation to fight lawsuit abuse and voting to slow the growth of state spending in a high tax state. Small business has a real friend in Sen. Michel and we are happy to announce that he has earned the “Guardian of Small Business Award.”
