Official 2022 Organizing Convention Call

TO: Delegates and Alternates of the newly re-apportioned Senate District 41 

Pursuant to the provisions of the Constitution of the Republican Party of Minnesota and pursuant to the Official Call issued by the Republican Party State Executive Committee, Delegates residing within the boundaries of the new Senate District 41 are called to a Republican Party Basic Political Organizational Unit (BPOU) organizing convention at the following time and location:

Saturday, March 26th, 2022

Registration will begin at 8:30 AM with the convention commencing promptly at 9:30 AM.

Registration will close at 10:00 AM.

An advanced registration fee of $50 will cover the costs of the convention. The registration fee at the door is $55. The guest registration fee is $20. Registration includes a Tinucci’s boxed lunch (15 dollar value).

Convention registration fees are eligible to receive a rebate from the State PCR (Political Contribution Refund) program, allowing individuals to receive a $50 dollar rebate on their admission through the program. More information can be found at: https://www.revenue.state.mn.u...

Online registration AND payments close at 6:00 pm Thursday, March 24th.
Registration by mail must be postmarked by Tuesday, March 22nd and addressed to PO Box 264, Cottage Grove, MN 55016. 


The Senate District 41 Republican Party Convention shall be composed of the Delegates and Alternates elected by the Precinct Caucuses held in 2022. The convention shall be held for the purposes of:

1.  Acceptance of a Constitution for the newly-formed SD41 organization,

2.  Election of Senate District and House District Officers,

3.  Election of Delegates to the Congressional District and State conventions,

4.  Endorsement of candidates for State Senate and for State House of Representatives,

5.  Consideration of Resolutions passed at the 2022 precinct caucuses,

6.  Transaction of other such business that may properly come before the Convention.

Anyone interested in running for Minnesota State Senate or Minnesota House shall contact Jacob Grundhauser at sd54gop@gmail.com by March 21st, 2022 in order to schedule a meeting of the nominations committee.
Nominations WILL be taken on the floor of the convention for anyone who wishes to run for District Officer positions (i.e. Chair, Deputy Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, House Chair, Vice Chair, etc.)
